Make an Impact and H.E.L.P This Giving Tuesday

3rd December, 2024 .
Three things to consider on Giving Tuesday:
  • 10% donation made to H.E.L.P.
  • Support people in need this festive season and beyond.
  • Make an impact on people's lives.

As we roll into December, retailers like Impact Furniture are in full swing. High-profile sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday kept everyone in the office on their toes and our team in our warehouse lifting from their knees (health and safety first, please).

While we recover from this incredibly busy period, we’d like to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to all of our customers who have taken advantage of these fantastic sales and scored incredible deals on our beautiful furniture. Your support is invaluable, and as a family-run business, it means the world to us.

Giving Tuesday: A Time for Reflection and Action

While this time of year is filled with festive joy and celebration for many people, it’s also a time to reflect on those who may not be as fortunate. Giving Tuesday, an event that originated in the US following the Thanksgiving holiday, is a perfect opportunity for businesses like ours to give back and support those in need.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to support a charity that is particularly close to our hearts and is doing incredible work in our community.

Supporting H.E.L.P. (Helping Empower Lives in Peterborough)

H.E.L.P. (Helping Empower Lives in Peterborough) is a registered charity based in Peterborough that serves thousands of people in need across the surrounding area. Their wide-ranging services support individuals facing various challenges, including those experiencing poverty, homelessness, or other vulnerabilities.

Through their work, H.E.L.P. helps over 3,000 people by offering vital services such as assistance with forms, emergency food and clothing, mental health support, a bike scheme to combat transportation issues, and SIM cards to address data poverty. They also provide social and skills activities, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) lessons, support in finding employment or training, and community outreach programs, including campaigns to improve local housing and prevent homelessness.

Their service users include refugees and other vulnerable groups, making H.E.L.P.’s mission even more essential to the community.

How Impact Furniture Will Help H.E.L.P. This Giving Tuesday

At Impact Furniture, we believe in the power of giving back. This Giving Tuesday, we’re making a commitment to support H.E.L.P. in their ongoing work to improve lives and uplift those in need.

On December 3, 2024, we will donate 10% of all sales made that day to H.E.L.P., ensuring that every purchase you make directly supports this incredible charity. Whether you’re buying new furniture for your home or office, know that your purchase will make a meaningful impact. Together, we can help empower lives and make a difference in our community.

Let’s come together this Giving Tuesday to make the world a better place—one small act of kindness (and piece of furniture) at a time.
