Assembly Instructions

Chairs are always supplied in a finished, factory build form which means they are incredibly sturdy with well made joints that will last a long while. All of our furniture (apart from chairs) is supplied flat-packed with user friendly assembly instructions. For your ease of assembly and installation we have also uploaded PDF instructions to every product and videos showing assembly of key products such as beds, wardrobes and sideboards.

Comprehensive, paper based instructions in the form of clear step by step sketches with small written prompts / key points in five languages, including English are provided with each item.

Large furniture items such as wardrobes will normally be packed in several boxes, each bearing a description of the item and correct numbering (for example, Kim Wardrobe SZF3D Maple Strasbourg, box 1/3, box 2/3, box 3/3). In certain locations, we can offer a full professional assembly and installation service, to assure you of minimum disruption. For details of areas covered, prices and terms and conditions, please visit the Installation Service page on our website.

Materials used

All of our furniture items are manufactured from durable, high quality materials, many using a mixture of materials such as robust MFC (melamine faced chipboard) for cacasses and MDF (medium density fibreboard) for doors/fronts. Furniture is generally finished in one of the following:

- wood effect laminates offered in the tantalising choice of finishes illustrated on our website. Sonoma Oak particularly stands our as it is a textured wood effect finish that often is mistaken for real solid wood.

- PVC wrapped and vinyl wrapped gloss doors. Generally those are in sought after White High Gloss finish on MDF base. Certain ranges such as Azteca and Fever offer curved edges with high quality wrapped finish.

- Some of our ranges (such as Bawaria and Orland) have beautiful solid wood fronts combined with wood veneer body and are available in a variety of stunning colours. Refer to the relevant product description on the website for full details.

Complementing the look, we supply only the most elegant of handles, all specially selected to add that particular touch of character and style to your chosen furniture. Handles are either made of metal or hardened plastic.

Unless advertised with under bed storage compartment, our beds come with wooden slats. Beds with a bed linen compartment are supplied with the mattress which is to be attached to the base of the bed on springs, and can be lifted up to access the compartment.

Accessories provided and installation method

To ensure the ultimate in strength and stability of the assembled item, we provide a combination of a cam bolt system and wooden dowels with glue. Here, the cam bolts are utilised as the main joining mechanism on the corners and middle of long panels, and dowels are used in between to give further robustness to the construction.

All furniture ranges use metal runners for the drawers, with the exception of the TIP TOP range, where plastic runners are used.

Our mid to high end ranges offer soft close mechanisms from German manufacturer Hettich as standard.
